Herbstakademie—Skills and competence for a successful doctorate
Herbstakademie is an interdisciplinary offer and designed to impart science-specific knowledge and competencies across the disciplines.
What does Herbstakademie offer?
The aim of the multi-day Herbstakademie is to make the doctoral process more efficient, to increase motivation for a quick and successful completion, and to outline personal career planning. Additionally, the Academy contributes to promoting networking among doctoral researchers.
By aligning the program to subject-specific needs, aspects of gender and diversity as well as different phases of a doctorate (orientation, decision, implementation, finishing), all participants can put together a customized program suiting their individual requirements.
Who can participate?

The event takes place at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen, Building S06. Participation is free of charge (incl. networking lunch). Registration is required.
